Job Summary
Safely and courteously navigate assigned vehicles while assisting passengers with boarding, de-boarding, and wheelchair restraint. Act as a friendly face for MetroLink Tulsa by explaining rules, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone on board. Monitor fare collection, complete daily equipment reports, and communicate with the Command Center regarding traffic or passenger situations. Maintain a pristine driving record, pass required drug and alcohol tests, and work various shifts including those longer than eight hours. This role connects people to jobs and communities within Tulsa, offering independent route management and a supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- You've graduated high school or earned your GED
- You can read, write, and speak English clearly
- You can solve basic math problems
- You can follow directions
- You're fantastic at talking with both the public and your amazing co-workers
- You've got some basic computer knowledge
- You hold a valid driver's license from the great state of Oklahoma
- No moving violations in the last 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions
- You can successfully pass a DOT physical and all additional MTTA requirements
- You're comfortable sitting for long periods
- You can expertly steer a vehicle using the push-pull and hand over hand methods
- You can bend, squat, climb steps, and kneel without restrictions
- You have DOT-acceptable vision and hearing, with full movement of your head and eyes
- You can juggle multiple tasks like a pro
- You can work independently with limited supervision
- You can keep everything organized
- You're willing to work various shifts, which might be longer than eight hours
- You're willing to work on assigned days
- You've got an accurate watch
- You follow all rules and regulations
- You always bring a positive, courteous attitude to work with the public and your colleagues
- You're super safety-conscious
- You always try to avoid accidents
