Job Summary

Rides Control Technician at SeaWorld responsible for maintenance, safety inspections, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical/electronic ride-control systems (up to 600V, PLCs, VFDs, servo systems). Must diagnose electrical problems in hard-wired/software circuits, perform PLC verifications, complete green-tag procedures, and ensure safety standards while supporting guest experience. Requires 2+ years in industrial/electrical roles, knowledge of RSLogix 5000/Step 7/TwinCAT/Profibus a plus, and ability to work second shift and weekends with a Florida driver’s license. Resume required.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years related experience in an industrial environment
  • electronic/electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • understand operation of amusement rides from simple start-stop circuits to PLC controllers
  • understand and troubleshoot variable speed AC and DC drives
  • valid Florida driver’s license or equivalent
  • ability to climb, lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in all weather
  • English reading/writing proficiency
