Job Summary
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of amusement rides and related equipment using visual and auditory methods. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems while performing repairs on gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and safety components like brakes and hoists. Maintain accurate documentation of all work and communicate ride status to supervisors and guests. Work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs while climbing safely at heights up to 250ft. Adhere to Six Flags safety guidelines, code of conduct, and manufacturer manuals for all operations.
Required Qualifications
- vocational diploma in mechanical/industrial maintenance
- minimum of one year of experience in mechanical maintenance
- forklift certification
- man lift certification
- at least 18 years old
- comfortable working at heights up to 250ft
- ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test
- ability to pass a background check
