Job Summary
Perform assembly of electrical components in manual and semi-automated environments by installing parts, aligning components with hoists, and using hand tools or machines to fasten subassemblies. Examine connections for correct fit, interpret technical diagrams and instructions, and conduct quality control checks to identify defective items. Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and document actions via production and quality forms. Participate in daily shift meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and required training while maintaining a safe, clean workspace. Adhere to accountability standards for attendance, safety, and workmanship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanically inclined
- Great problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow detailed assembly instructions
- Ability to work in a manual assembly operation
- Willingness to cross train and learn new tasks
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
- Good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
