Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial environments. Perform preventative maintenance including filter changes, refrigerant level checks, and sensor calibration. Diagnose and resolve issues related to airflow, temperature regulation, electrical failures, and mechanical breakdowns. Install new equipment such as compressors, coils, and walk-in coolers while ensuring compliance with local codes. Communicate with clients regarding service needs and provide guidance on system usage. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and refrigerant handling regulations. Maintain accurate service records in the computerized maintenance management system. Rotating on-call evenings and weekends; overtime may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment DMV check
  • Must be able to pass drug screening
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Refrigeration license required as defined by State(s) regulations
  • EPA Certification
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs or more)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in environments that may require protective equipment (e.g., gloves, hard hats, safety glasses)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, standing, bending, and crouching for extended periods
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment necessary for RHVAC installation and repair
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow technical diagrams and schematics
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Rotating on-call evenings and weekends
  • Overtime or weekend work
