Job Summary
RHVAC Installer responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC/refrigeration systems in commercial environments. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance (filters, refrigerant checks, sensor calibration, leaks), diagnostics and repairs of electrical/mechanical issues, installation of systems (compressors, coils, RTUs, walk-ins), and ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations. Must communicate with clients about issues and improvements, follow safety procedures (LOTO), and stay current with RHVAC technologies; requires valid driver’s license, DMV/background checks, EPA and OSHA certifications, and apprenticeship training. Field-based role with potential on-call evenings/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass pre-employment DMV check
- Drug screening
- Background check
- Refrigeration license required per State regulations (preferred in all areas)
- EPA Certification is required
- OSHA 10-Hour certification within 30 days of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship or formal RHVAC training program
