Job Summary
Assist the head coach in the basketball program at the high school and middle school levels, teaching fundamentals of the sport, strategy, and physical conditioning; ensure compliance with board-approved athletic policies and district/state/conference regulations; manage scheduling, equipment, budgeting input, and game/practice preparations; supervise practices, games, trips, and student managers; communicate with parents and administrators, and uphold school conduct codes; provide training on sport-specific rules, monitor facilities, and support overall program operations as outlined by the athletic administrator and head coach.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed 64 hours of college credit
- Interest and/or experience in particular sport
- Must be 21 years of age
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
