Job Summary
Academic Rheumatologist position in Roanoke, VA with Carilion Clinic in a university-based academic practice. Responsibilities include ambulatory care in the outpatient clinic, on-call in-person and virtual consultative services to hospital patients, and leadership/teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and rheumatology fellows. The role includes fellowship program involvement, opportunities for research (translation, clinical, and trials), and potential ACGME engagement. Benefits package includes a defined base salary with productivity/quality bonuses, a 4.5-day workweek (90% clinical), and an integrated clinical-support environment with imaging, labs, infusion services, and an EPIC EMR system.
