Job Summary
Medical Assistant II functions under medical direction to deliver direct patient services in NIHD Clinics. Reports to the RHC/NIA Managers and is supervised clinically by the Clinic Physician/NP/PA. Works in an outpatient clinic setting with exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and patients in varied infectious states. Requires MA training completion and HS diploma/GED, with BLS upon hire; preferred CMA certification and 1+ year clinical/back-office experience. Full-time, 10-hour shifts with some Saturdays; located in Bishop, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Medical Assistant training course completion
- Education: High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Certification: BLS upon hire
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in medical field or clinical back office setting
- Certification: California Certified Medical Assistant certification or similar National certification
