Job Summary
Manage all properties owned and managed by Michaels Management Affordable in the assigned Region, overseeing renovation and capital improvement projects to ensure they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets. Lead the development of annual maintenance programs and capital improvement plans in collaboration with Regional Vice Presidents and Property Managers. Direct the delivery of property maintenance and facility services while ensuring compliance with company programs, regulatory inspections, safety standards, and building codes. Respond to emergency and disaster events by assessing damage, negotiating with insurance adjusters, and managing repair contracts. Monitor project budgets by reviewing and approving vendor invoices, and prepare required documentation for permitting and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the capacity of regional facilities director or similar title
- Managing a maintenance team for a large-scale (400+ units) residential property
- Experience as a general contractor
- Minimum 5 years in the multi-family industry
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to travel as required to various communities and corporate headquarters to meet with community and management staff, contractors, and insurance adjusters
