Job Summary
Lead engineering and environmental consulting services for the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe across civil engineering, infrastructure safety, and technical support. Conduct technical project management, strategic planning, and grant application support for transportation projects, including low-volume roads, bridge inspections, and aquatic organism passage culvert replacements. Deliver environmental remediation design, NEPA compliance analysis, and hazardous materials assessments while overseeing construction administration and performance monitoring. Provide GIS mapping, drone surveying, and stakeholder engagement for tribal capacity building under an indefinite delivery contract. Submit open-book estimates for task orders and collaborate with federal and state agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and project delivery within Alaska's short work seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Rural Southeast Alaska Experience
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Services
- Other Technical Services
- Native-owned or Tribally-owned business status
- Qualifications and experience of the proposed team and key personnel
- Demonstrated experience of the proposed team in successfully delivering similar projects, including federally funded projects
- Knowledge of environmental conditions and challenges in the Yakutat region
- Experience working with Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages
- demonstrated success in supporting Tribes to build internal capacity and capabilities to deliver similar projects and develop their programs
- Professional Engineer's License(s)
