Job Summary
RFIC Layout Designer on RFIC/mixed-signal projects leading chip floor planning, DRC/ERC checks, and top-level layout integration for RF/analog blocks. Collaborates with IC designers across teams to optimize power/ground distribution, parasitic minimization, and manufacturability; performs layout of custom RF/analog circuits, conducts tape-out preparation, and works with EDA tools and foundries to improve layout techniques. Requires strong analog layout skills and experience with advanced nodes (e.g., 22nm–5nm), RF blocks (LNA, VCO, mixers), scripting (Python/Perl), Linux, and revision control; excellent communication and ability to work independently. Responsibilities include estimating schedules, addressing layout complexity, and ensuring layout versus schematic integrity, along with integrating ESD structures, pad assemblies, and density fill.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering and 1+ years of professional experience as an IC layout designer; OR 3+ years of professional experience with integrated circuit layout design in lieu of a degree
