Job Summary
Install and service analog, P25, DMR, and IT radio dispatch systems, including repeaters, multicouplers, duplexers, and server hardware. Manage enterprise software applications like Avtec and Motorola, perform line sweeping, and inventory response equipment. Respond to emergency recovery duties during power outages or storms. Maintain regular physical attendance with flexibility for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced training and experience in computer hardware/software installation
- Strong RF radio systems background
- Experience monitoring network performance
- Installing updates
- Integrating new server hardware and applications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Acceptable driving record
- Acceptable vision
- Acceptable hearing
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift equipment up to 25 lbs independently
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Experience with RF infrastructure, including line sweeping, tuning duplexers and filters
- Experience installing and servicing analog, P25 conventional and trunked systems
- Experience installing and servicing DMR systems
- Experience with IT networking and radio dispatch systems
- Experience with Avtec
- Experience with Motorola applications
- Experience managing enterprise radio dispatch software
- Experience installing radio dispatch systems in 911 centers
- Experience installing software in 911 centers
- Experience installing routers and switches
- Experience installing radio and wireline interfaces
- Experience installing IT equipment
- Experience installing UPS systems
- Experience installing equipment racks
- Ability to respond and perform recovery duties during emergencies or crises
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in IT networking and radio dispatch systems (such as Avtec) is a plus
- Manufacturer certifications from Motorola, Tait, Avtec, or similar vendors are a plus
- Experience with RF infrastructure, including line sweeping, tuning duplexers and filters, and related tasks
