Job Summary
Install and service analog, P25, DMR, and IT radio dispatch systems, including repeaters, multicouplers, duplexers, and software configurations for 911 centers. Manage enterprise radio dispatch applications on servers and perform hardware installation for UPS systems and equipment racks. Inventory, inspect, and test response equipment such as radios and facility systems as assigned. Respond to emergencies and perform recovery duties during power outages or storms. Maintain regular attendance with flexibility for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Valid Massachusetts Driver's License required.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced training and experience in computer hardware/software installation
- Strong RF radio systems background
- Experience monitoring network performance
- Installing updates
- Integrating new server hardware and applications
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Driving record acceptable to the insurance provider
- Acceptable vision (with or without correction)
- Acceptable hearing (with or without correction)
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift equipment up to 25 lbs independently
- Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Occasional ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed or required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in IT networking and radio dispatch systems (such as Avtec)
- Experience with RF infrastructure, including line sweeping, tuning duplexers and filters, and related tasks
- Manufacturer certifications from Motorola, Tait, Avtec, or similar vendors
