Job Summary
Collaborate in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems for RF systems, including antennas, circuit card assemblies, and radomes. Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs, develop prototype hardware, and coordinate fabrication. Perform hands-on integration and test support for prototype hardware while holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts. This entry-level position focuses on applying technical mechanical standards to packaging RF products throughout the product life cycle. The role supports the Effector RF Design Department within Raytheon's aerospace and defense division, contributing to solutions for commercial, military, and government customers.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience performing design and analysis for the packaging of RF products (e.g. Circuit Card Assemblies, antennas, radomes, RF test equipment, harnesses and interconnects) throughout the product life cycle
- Experience with three dimensional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Experience with creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for products
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start
- This position is located in Tucson, AZ and is an onsite role
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science (MS) in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- Experience with 3D CAD design (preferably Creo Parametric)
- Experience in antenna and/or electronics packaging
- Experience with harness and interconnect design
- Experience creating engineering drawings
- Experience fabricating prototype designs
- Familiarity with the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-discipline team
- Experience performing tolerance analysis
- Self-motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from varied communities and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
