Job Summary
Mid-Level RF/EW R&D Engineer to design, integrate, test, sustain, and advance next-generation RF and EW simulation capabilities in a hands-on laboratory environment. You will support prototype development, system integration, HITL operations, and user demonstrations; perform system characterization, data analysis, and technical reporting; configure and operate experimental test environments, integrate SUT with RF simulators and HITL systems, and contribute to upgrade roadmaps and modernization efforts. The role requires strong RF fundamentals, laboratory integration experience, rapid troubleshooting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and improve electromagnetic environment simulation systems and supporting RF infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
- An active Secret clearance is required
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting RF/EW research and development
- Experience operating and integrating RF simulator systems (DEES, mmWave, MicroDEES, VLB DEES, DEF DEES, PhaseDEES)
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters)
- Ability to read electrical schematics, RF block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
- Proven ability to troubleshoot integrated RF systems and laboratory hardware
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Pivot Tables in Excel; Cost Point & COBRA experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
