Job Summary
Execute precision rework and component modifications on surface-mount and plated through-hole electronics assemblies, performing hand soldering and touch-up work to exact system specifications. Operate specialized machinery including BGA rework stations, X-ray inspection equipment, pre-heating tables, and hot air guns while differentiating between leaded and lead-free processes. Review defect patterns, create inspection reports, and coordinate configuration adjustments within the manufacturing execution system. Demonstrate standard work methods and tool safety protocols to incoming facility technicians. Requires 3–4 years of technical manufacturing experience in electronic component repair and adherence to IPC quality benchmarks. Available for day or swing shifts Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with IPC industry quality benchmarks, such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, or IPC 7711/7721 standards
- 3–4 years of technical manufacturing experience specifically focused on electronic component repair and assembly
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Capability to stand, bend, kneel, and safely lift or push components weighing up to 50 pounds on the production floor
- Must be able to pass background
