Revit Senior Piping Design Technician

Job Summary
Independently develop piping designs, lead project scope portions, and coordinate directly with engineers and multidisciplinary teams. Provide technical input on operability, model quality, and design standards while supporting workshare execution and contributing to estimating and change-management discussions. Manage assigned design tasks with general oversight, ensuring model and drawing accuracy through QA/QC workflows and specification-driven design. Interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation to support routing, support design, and equipment interfaces in industrial settings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Design Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience of +2 years)
- 10+ years of piping design experience in industrial settings (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or semiconductor)
- Proficiency in Revit for piping design and modeling
- minimum of 3 years of solid Revit usage
- Understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with general oversight while managing your assigned design tasks
- Strong communication and coordination skills within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on model and drawing accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or similar curriculum
- Experience in semiconductor facilities
- Working knowledge of pipe stress considerations and how they influence routing and support design
- Experience with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven design
- Advanced capability with Revit, such as family/part development and troubleshooting
- Prior leadership in Piping teams, including oversight of model consistency and deliverable quality
