Job Summary
Design and engineering assigned projects by developing documents, methods, and techniques for conceptual and interpretive drafting of design-build or plan/spec projects. Review completed design work for technical adequacy and satisfaction of project requirements while conferring with Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, Business Development, and Estimating departments to resolve issues and coordinate production scheduling. Interact with engineers, architects, consultants, owners, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met. Research, develop, and prepare design documents, maintaining electrical licensing requirements and upgrading skills to maintain expertise. Requires high proficiency in Revit, NEC code standards, and computer estimating applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience
- College degree
- High degree of technical knowledge and proficiency in Revit
- Knowledge of electrical construction
- Proficiency in NEC code standards
- Experience with computer estimating applications
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
