Job Summary
Review site and house connection proposals for sewer connections to City sewers; perform hydraulic calculations to determine sewer connection sizes and release rates; review architectural, mechanical, and plumbing drawings; ensure proposals comply with DEP Rules and Regulations; coordinate with Professional Engineers and Registered Architects to resolve engineering issues; analyze site area with zoning maps and ArcGIS; review and approve moderate to complex permit applications for sewer connections; contribute to protecting public health by managing wastewater and stormwater in NYC’s five boroughs; operate under supervision to meet DEP requirements and standards.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil engineering and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and a Master's degree from an accredited college in civil engineering.
