Job Summary
Revenue Specialist – Veteran’s Administration acts as the liaison between key client contacts and the VA, handling patient health information (PHI) with strict privacy and security. The role supports VA claims payments analysis using EnableComp’s automated platform, coordinates with payers and hospitals to ensure accurate reimbursement, and prepares initial bill packets or appeal letters with supporting documentation. Requires 2-4+ years in healthcare billing/collections, strong client-facing skills, and VA billing experience. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-4+ years’ experience in healthcare field working in billing or collections
- 2+ years’ client facing/customer services experience
- 1+ years’ experience with VA billing and collections required
- Intermediate level understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and subsequent data requirements
- Intermediate level understanding of government and veteran benefit programs
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
