Job Summary
Contact taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities and coordinate filing and enforcement actions for taxes administered by the Department of Revenue. Execute levies, garnishments, and transferee liabilities, issue subpoenas, prepare legal affidavits, perform physical asset inventories, secure legal service of documents, and recommend agency actions. Travel locally to taxpayers' business locations, with occasional overnight travel for training. Requires nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.
Required Qualifications
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue within the General Tax Administration Program
- Nine months of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program
- Eighteen months of experience working with accounts receivables, banking, or collections
- College education from an accredited institution
- Valid driver's license (implied by 'use your own means of transportation' for travel)
- National Level-2 criminal background check clearance (implied by requirement to undergo check)
- Selective Services System registration or Letter of Registration Exemption (for male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962)
- Drug-free workplace compliance (implied by subject to reasonable suspicion drug testing)
