Revenue Senior Accountant II

Job Summary
Prepare monthly gross-to-net revenue journal entries, analyze discount and rebate accounts across multiple countries, and resolve variances for internal stakeholders. Execute month-end close activities including general ledger reconciliations, SOX compliance, and technical reviews under US GAAP. Support forecast alignment, group reporting, and data analytics initiatives while partnering with commercial teams on contract operationalization and reimbursement agreements. Provide timely insight on revenue implications for new product launches and distribution agreements. This role supports the Revenue Accounting Manager in the distributor region for Vertex Pharmaceuticals, a global biotechnology company focused on transformative medicines for serious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Experience in an accounting environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent technical knowledge of accounting and finance processes
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel expertise
- Experience supporting general ledger reconciliations, SOX compliance, group reporting, and data analysis
- Working knowledge and proficiency in US GAAP revenue accounting
- Experience in a service-driven function with a business partnering focus within a multinational shared service or Global Business Service organization
- Strong communication and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders
