Job Summary
Process all referrals and prior authorizations to ensure timely handling meeting financial, customer service, and regulatory standards. Monitor the charge capture process for accuracy and timeliness. Handle person-to-person patient inquiries regarding referral issues, following up with key players until resolved. Schedule evaluation appointments for patients according to Legacy Program scheduling protocols. Requires associate degree in business or healthcare, standard office computer experience, and knowledge of medical terminology. Salary range is $23.43 to $33.50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in business or healthcare, or equivalent experience
- Standard office computer and keyboarding experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Knowledge of insurance and managed care practices
