Job Summary
Revenue Recovery Associate Analyst I responsible for maximizing insurance reimbursement by identifying contractual variances between posted payments and expected reimbursement for managed care, government payors, and other payors. Analyze underpayments and denials, communicate trends to management, and collaborate with client teams to address root causes in the revenue cycle. Review large remittance data sets to locate charge or billing opportunities for revenue optimization; maintain knowledge of state and federal insurance regulations and payor-specific requirements; document activities in client systems; meet productivity and quality standards; work with Managed Care, Billing, Coding, Revenue Integrity, and Payor Strategy teams; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. Requires strong verbal/written communication, professional presence, and proficiency with AI-enabled process improvements; this is a remote role with potential travel to client or corporate locations as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the hospital or physician insurance industry, or elsewhere in the revenue cycle, required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional presence and customer service
- Ability to adapt to multiple client host systems
- Integrity and honesty
- Internal drive to succeed
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI in revenue cycle improvements
