Job Summary
Revenue Manager responsible for maximizing the revenue cycle, ensuring compliant claims processing and management from provider setup to resubmission of errored claims, monitoring CMS/DHS payer rules, maintaining dental upfront payments, updating fee schedules, managing EDI for payer releases, and providing monthly billing metric reports to leadership. Role includes overseeing provider credentialing, pre-authorizations, eligibility verification, coding compliance audits, insurance verification, and work with departments to optimize self-pay collections. Supervises 2–5 staff, drives process improvements, prepares for audits and grants reporting, and ensures HIPAA compliance. Requires a BA/BS in healthcare or related field, 5+ years of healthcare billing/claims experience (with additional NHA billing/coding certification preferred), 2+ years of supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of Epic or Ochin and related billing systems.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in healthcare or related field
- 5+ years of claims billing experience with a health care provider or certification from NHA as a billing and coding specialist
- 2+ years of direct professional staff supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to the position
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Access; Medical EDI software; Epic or Ochin
- Experience working with FQHCs preferred
- Able to process and maintain information in a confidential manner
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
