Job Summary

Monitor reports for new eligibility writing and redeterminations of federal funding for Title IV-E, Medicaid, TANF, and Adoption services. Research electronic state and federal databases to capture parent income and enter data into the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) application. Apply for and redetermine Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) applications, while opening, closing, and troubleshooting Medicaid applications for children in care. Verify Medicaid status in the Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FLMMIS) and complete Title IV-E redeterminations for eligibility changes and yearly reviews. Electronically upload and file pertinent eligibility documents for foster care and adoption, ensuring system data matches funding determinations. Notify the ESS/Child in Care regarding status or eligibility changes and maintain adoption file case loads. Attend in-person, phone, and virtual trainings for FSS Suncoast and DCF as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years in a clerical, data management, data entry or related field
  • Valid drivers license
  • Clear a Level II Background screening (Live Scan)
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside
  • Clear a substance abuse screen
  • Clear a reference check
  • Provide a copy of all certifications and degrees prior to your first day of employment
  • Clear an E-Verify check
  • Ability to Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Outlook)
  • Ability to Hold critical information confidential and in a secure setting
  • Ability to Manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to Establish and maintain effective working relationships with community partners and clients
  • Ability to Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables with a minimum level of direction
  • Ability to Think and write creatively, able to calculate figures and amounts
  • Ability to Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to Be organized and meet deadlines
  • Ability to Adhere to details
  • Ability to Communicate effectively through writing, correspondence, and documentation
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Automated systems
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Federal funding guidelines
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Title IV-E Eligibility
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn TANF guidelines
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Medicaid programs
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Adoption Eligibility and guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in federally funded entitlement programs
  • Knowledge of foster care, relative caregivers, adoption, Medicaid and TANF systems
  • Experience with ACCESS, FSFN, FLMMIS, FLORIDA, CCIS and DEO
