Job Summary
Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate HIM-related applications including Optum 3M encoders, nthrive Correct Code, and Epic modules while assisting with clinical, financial, and operational systems. Present solution sets to improve revenue integrity and clinical efficiency, focusing on quality outcomes. Educate clinicians on accurate medical record documentation standards and disseminate coding updates to ensure compliance with Medicare, DNV, and regulatory requirements. Assist providers with training and document template recommendations to maximize charge capture and support best clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. Leverage extensive specialty coding knowledge in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Diagnostic Imaging to optimize workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree in related area or equivalent level of training/experience
- Five (5) years healthcare experience
- current certification in medical coding
- familiar with health information management
- familiar with healthcare operations including clinical and business
- familiar with Revenue Integrity/Medical Coding workflows
- ability to organize work and attend to detail
- ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and multiple schedules
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies necessary to meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation; DNV; HIPAA; Federal and State regulations as applicable to in an acute care hospital
- Extensive knowledge of Mosaiq Oncology software and oncology coding
