Job Summary
Manage patient revenue management support throughout the revenue cycle, including billing, collections, cash management, and payment posting. Determine proper application of payments and adjustments while calculating manual and electronic payer remittances. Process patient refunds daily, resolve discrepancies by contacting appropriate parties, and monitor payer remittances to identify inappropriate payments. Perform accurate record keeping, follow up on account activity, and coordinate timely placement of accounts to bad debt agencies. Proactively call delinquent patients to negotiate payment plans or offer financial assistance, and relieve the Receptionist and Customer Service team when coverage is short. Achieve set key performance indicator targets and continuously seek innovative ways to improve workflows.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
