Job Summary
Revenue Cycle Operations Training Specialist responsibilities include designing and coordinating training programs, developing and updating course materials, conducting training and competency testing, and leading sessions across Revenue Cycle areas (Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Managed Care, and Coding). The role supports evaluation of training effectiveness, creates presentation materials, maintains training calendars, coordinates resources, and ensures quality through audits and dashboard reporting. Collaboration with management and Information Systems to test EPIC upgrades, plus workflow documentation and lean-improvement opportunities, are key components. Requires a Bachelor's degree with three years of training-related experience and proficiency in Microsoft Publisher, Office, Visio, and Word; healthcare revenue cycle certification within one year is required. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and ability to facilitate training and coaching across departments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Three years of experience developing, planning and facilitating training materials, performance improvement and program management
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication & presentation skills
- Three years of revenue cycle related functions in conjunction with training preferred
- Experience developing and conducting employee training programs
- Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Microsoft Word
- Experience with software related to developing training and other virtual training materials
- Healthcare revenue cycle related certification or an equivalently designated certification approved by management required within 1 year
