Revenue Cycle Operations Professional Coding Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee professional and facility coding operations for a hospital system across complex outpatient specialties; serve as the operational and strategic liaison between the provider organization and the outsourced revenue cycle team; ensure accurate coding, regulatory compliance, productivity, and financial performance. Lead distributed remote and near‐shore coding teams, manage SLAs, quality standards, and production targets; translate provider expectations into workflows; lead KPI reporting, performance discussions, and audits; ensure readiness for RAC, OIG, payer, and internal audits. Work with hospital leadership, HIM, Compliance, CDI, Case Management, and Finance; apply ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, MS-DRG/APR-DRG knowledge; Pennsylvania-specific payer landscapes and hospital regulations; travel for training/onboarding. The role emphasizes Epic or enterprise EHR experience and a leadership capacity within a healthcare management consulting context.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in hospital coding and revenue cycle operations
- CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, CPC or equivalent coding credential
- Experience managing coding operations for complex, multi-specialty hospital environments
- Experience leading remote and near-shore coding teams
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, MS-DRG, APR-DRG
- Strong understanding of hospital reimbursement methodologies and payer requirements
- Ability to travel to training/onboarding locations
Desired Qualifications
