Job Summary
Manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, claims follow-up, collections, and revenue integrity, while defining department goals and overseeing team performance. Develop and implement policies for compliance with accrediting agencies, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance standards. Supervise staff actions such as hiring, performance appraisals, and vacation schedules, while conducting staff meetings to communicate directives and training. Coordinate with outside agencies, attorneys, and insurance companies, and assist in resolving patient billing questions. Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate documentation for all records. This exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2-5 years of management experience, and knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and UB/1500 billing codes.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Knowledge of hospital billing (UB)
- Knowledge of professional billing (1500)
- Specifically Medicare billing experience
- Specifically Medicaid billing experience
- Specifically Blue Cross billing experience
- Specifically managed care billing experience
- Specifically commercial insurance billing experience
- Previous 2-5 years management experience
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
- Must be able to bend and stoop less than 10% of the day
- Must be able to reach over the head less than 10% of the day
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Have cognitive skills for math, reading and filing skills
- Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation
- Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds using proper lifting technique several times during their shift
