Job Summary
Oversee a team responsible for patient billing, insurance verification, and medical record processing for Syracuse Residential programs. Train, supervise, and evaluate personnel while managing staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure accurate assessment of patient billing, coordinate service authorizations with insurance providers and clinical staff, and maintain current knowledge of Medicaid regulations and legislation. Monitor billing error reports, aging trends, and fiscal operations reports to support continuous quality improvement and audit compliance. Counsel clients on program and revenue cycle procedures while assisting in Medicaid program administration and aid disbursements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership and managerial role, including supervision of staff
- expertise in the design, development and administration of automated billing systems and electronic processing of patient account data
- Must be proactive
- demonstrate sound judgment
- have excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- possess the ability to multi-task
Desired Qualifications
- Two year degree in finance, education, administration or a combination of experience in a related field preferred
- Experience in coding and Medicaid billing strongly desirable
