Job Summary
Follow up on outstanding claim statuses and document outcomes clearly for the team. Support accurate payment posting by reviewing ERAs and EOBs under supervision. Log and categorize denials to identify patterns and act on them. Prepare and maintain patient statements to keep clients informed. Keep internal documentation current for new hires and daily reference. This 6-month paid internship operates Monday through Friday in standard business hours, with pay set at minimum wage for your location. Success here could lead to a permanent role with full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Recently completed (or nearing completion of) a Medical Billing & Coding, Health Information Technology, or Healthcare Administration program
- Familiarity with core revenue cycle concepts like claims, ERAs/EOBs, and denials
- Comfortable learning new software and tools quickly
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Able to commit to a consistent Monday-Friday schedule during standard business hours in your time zone, for the duration of the internship
