Job Summary
Oversee daily billing operations by monitoring claim status, denials, and appeals while identifying reimbursement trends. Review coding accuracy and documentation compliance, providing guidance to providers and assisting with internal audits. Train and onboard staff, coach team members, and maintain departmental SOPs to drive process improvements. Support accounts receivable follow-up, payer communications, and credentialing projects while ensuring adherence to federal and payer regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience
- Minimum 2 years of coding experience
- Experience leading, training, mentoring, or supervising staff
- Strong knowledge of CPT
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10
- Strong knowledge of HCPCS
- Strong knowledge of Medical necessity requirements
- Strong knowledge of Denials and appeals management
- Strong knowledge of Revenue cycle workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
