Job Summary
Support data collection, cleaning, and structuring for client RCM assessments across specialties while conducting manual reviews of denied claims, payer policies, and AR aging data to identify patterns and quantify revenue leakage. Build and maintain financial models and dashboards used in client-facing assessments, translating raw data into clear findings, opportunity sizing, and recommendations for finance leadership. Track engagement timelines, coordinate meeting preparation, and assist with process optimization and root cause analysis to trace revenue leakage. Take direct ownership of smaller client engagements or workstreams as skills develop, with a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Finance required and 1-3 years of experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, data analytics, or a related consulting role
- Comfortable building financial models from raw, messy data
- Sharp, clear writing; able to turn a messy dataset into a clean narrative a client will read
- Comfortable with ambiguity: able to take a rough ask and build something useful without every detail spelled out
- Genuine curiosity about how hospitals and physician practices get paid, and where revenue is lost along the way
- Excel required: comfortable building models, pivot tables, and formulas from scratch
- Power BI or similar BI/dashboarding tool
- SQL or comparable query language for pulling and shaping data
- Familiarity with EHR/practice management systems such as Epic or Cerner
Desired Qualifications
- Prior exposure to complex or high-volume specialty billing (oncology, radiology, or similar)
- CRCR, CHFP, or progress toward either a plus
- Familiarity with HFMA or RBMA
