Job Summary
Lead the medical billing department by overseeing daily operations of claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and collections. Monitor accounts receivable aging, analyze productivity metrics, and develop workflows to improve billing efficiency and reimbursement. Stay current on Medicare, Medicaid, and payer policy changes to ensure full compliance while training and mentoring staff. Collaborate with physicians, administration, and clinical teams to resolve billing issues and implement software enhancements. Prepare reports on key revenue cycle trends for leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive medical billing experience
- Strong understanding of the complete medical revenue cycle
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, prior authorizations, appeals, and denial management
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifiers, and medical coding principles
- Experience managing accounts receivable and improving collection performance
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Takes ownership of the revenue cycle and follows issues through to resolution
- Is highly organized and detail oriented
- Leads by example and enjoys mentoring others

Desired Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience
