Job Summary
Meet defined performance metrics and assist with special projects while working with external vendors to problem solve payer issues. Analyze data and accounts for aged and credit balances tied to payer issues, then collaborate with Revenue Cycle teammates to resolve accounts. Attend and occasionally run monthly Billing Resolution meetings to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met. This role requires proficiency in major Revenue Cycle functions including Insurance Verification, Billing, Cash Applications, and Accounts Receivable. The position falls under the PE side of the business with a Monday through Friday schedule between 7am and 6pm your local time.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience in Revenue Cycle
- at least 3 years of that experience must be with SCA Health
- Proficient knowledge and the ability to perform all major Revenue Cycle functions (especially Accounts Receivable)
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of surgery center operations
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to meet professional standards for email communication
- Ability to effectively develop and present advanced training for teammates
- Ability to create and/or modify CBO policies and procedures
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
- Must be moderately comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Outlook
- Must be moderately comfortable with Excel including the ability to sort and filter data, as well as creating and interpreting pivot tables
- Must be able to effectively 10 key numbers into the system
- Must be very organized, detail oriented, and have a high degree of multitasking and problem-solving skills
