Job Summary
Revenue Cycle Analyst responsible for monitoring and improving revenue cycle performance through data analysis, dashboards, and actionable recommendations for leadership; duties include tracking KPIs (collections, A/R aging, denials, write-offs), validating internal/vendor performance data, evaluating payer/contract performance, identifying root causes, and supporting process-improvement initiatives and new service lines; requires strong Excel skills, healthcare claims/payer data experience, and effective communication with operational and executive stakeholders; role may involve periodic travel and potential hybrid flexibility; based in Utah (Provo) with in-office/hybrid arrangements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare administration, business analytics, finance, accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible revenue cycle experience in a physician group, hospital, or healthcare system
- Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle processes (registration, eligibility, coding, claim submission, denials, payment posting, A/R follow-up, final account resolution)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data cleanup, large data sets)
- Ability to evaluate and use AI-supported tools responsibly with focus on data accuracy, privacy, and compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings to operational and executive audiences
- Ability to work independently; investigate problems and follow through to resolution
- Curiosity, detail-orientation, and ability to connect data insights to operational financial outcomes
- Ability to handle large data sets and explain findings to non-technical audiences
- Ownership, sound judgment, and timely delivery without sacrificing accuracy
