Job Summary
Senior Revenue Analyst responsible for translating contracts and tariffs into system-ready rules, configuring rate logic, and owning the end-to-end revenue application lifecycle across assigned railroads and lanes. Supports automated rating, invoicing, dispute resolution, data quality, and adherence to ASC 606 and AAR rules. Collaborates cross-functionally to optimize pricing, billing timeliness, and revenue integrity; provides ad-hoc analyses and dashboards to Sales/Operations, and drives continuous improvement through automation and data governance. Requires strong Excel and BI tool skills, knowledge of railroad concepts, and the ability to work independently while maintaining data accuracy and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in railroad/transportation revenue, pricing, billing, or contract administration.
- Proficiency in Excel (vlookup/index-match, pivot tables, Power Query) and familiarity with BI tools for data validation and analysis.
- Working knowledge of railroad concepts: tariffs, waybills, interchange, accessorials, and revenue application.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret rules, investigate exceptions, and communicate clearly.
