Job Summary
Revenue Analyst role within NYC Health Department Finance responsible for monitoring and tracking Mental Hygiene state aid expenditures, processing Article 6 claim submissions as required by Public Health Law and guidelines, coordinating with internal teams on contract, budget, and payment data, and maximizing reimbursement by accurately reporting expenditures. The role includes reconciling submitted claims after state approval, preparing consolidated claims reports, producing monthly/quarterly/year-to-date revenue analyses, identifying discrepancies, ensuring compliance with Federal/State/City policies, and supporting year-end close with revenue accrual estimates and related documentation. The position emphasizes collaboration across internal stakeholders and the creation of billed and unbilled receivables within the Financial Management System (FMS). Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree in accounting or related field including or supplemented by 24 credits in accounting, with one course each in advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting, and four years of professional accounting or auditing experience (18 months in a supervisory/managerial capacity) OR
- A valid New York State CPA license and at least 18 months of professional accounting or auditing experience in an administrative/managerial capacity or supervising staff performing accounting or auditing work.
