Revenue Accountant

Job Summary
Manage customer credit risk and drive timely collections while balancing revenue growth with disciplined risk management. Own end-to-end credit decisions and collections strategy, serving as the primary gatekeeper for customer credit approvals, and coordinating with Sales and Operations to assess risk on new and existing customers. Implement and maintain credit policies, monitor payment trends, escalate as needed, and lead the resolution of disputes affecting payment timing. Oversee AR aging and invoicing accuracy, collaborate with the AR Specialist to align credit approvals with order processing, and identify process improvements to optimize the order-to-cash cycle. This role emphasizes strong collaboration, data-driven decision making, and a focus on cash flow performance; preferred experience in private equity-backed environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred
- Excellent computer skills; advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statements
- Experience in a B2B environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with senior executives
