Job Summary
Review agreements to determine correct revenue treatment under ASC 606 guidance and investigate billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues to implement corrective actions. Assist in month-end close processes, prepare revenue-related account reconciliations, and document internal controls for revenue accounting. Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Legal to address customer billing concerns, system errors, and process inefficiencies while participating in automation projects for accurate financial reporting. Support audits and ad-hoc requests from financial or tax authorities. This hands-on role drives system and process improvements within a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on transforming waste collection.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Accounting
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex revenue transactions, identify discrepancies, resolve billing and revenue recognition issues, and implement process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Strong communication skills via multiple platforms and tools
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Experience working in a complex ERP system
