Revenue Accountant

Job Summary
Reconcile daily passenger and ancillary revenue from multiple sales channels, including reservation systems, online bookings, travel agencies, and interline partners. Prepare journal entries, monitor revenue recognition for compliance, and investigate discrepancies with internal departments and external vendors. Reconcile interline receivable and payable balances, analyze settlement reports, and support billing memos and rejection notices. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, prepare revenue reconciliations, and analyze revenue trends and variances for management reporting. This Full-Time role is based at the South Terminal of Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, BC. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with large data sets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify trends and investigate discrepancies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset
- Previous revenue accounting experience preferred
- Airline, transportation, or travel industry experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting
- Experience with revenue accounting, settlement reconciliations, customer liabilities, deferred revenue, or interline accounting is considered an asset
- Familiarity with airline reservation systems, settlement environments, or revenue accounting platforms is considered an asset
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP, AmeliaRES, or similar accounting and reservation systems is considered an asset
