Job Summary
Active, physical warehouse role involving operating an electric forklift and/or electric pallet jack to put away damaged products and returned items from delivery routes. Responsibilities include reviewing damage sheets, re-boxing and relabeling as needed, returning items to inventory, putting away dry, cooler, and frozen repacks, maintaining proper temperature and expiration date controls, communicating issues to inventory control, and assisting with driver check-in. Additional duties may include breaking down routes, ensuring inventory accuracy, sending salvaged products to the food bank, and adhering to safety and high-risk item procedures. Requires ability to become certified on warehouse equipment and to perform basic arithmetic and clear communication with team members and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Certifications: Ability to become certified on all warehouse equipment
- Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; basic math (rate, ratio, percent); communicate with customers and coworkers
- Physical/Other: Able to lift/move up to 100 pounds; ability to operate warehouse equipment; comply with safety policies
