Job Summary
Open and verify returned merchandise, scan items, and place freight in proper locations. Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product, potentially using powered equipment. Verify proper packaging before scanning, assure accurate processing via the scanning system, and identify items requiring special handling such as hazardous materials or salvage. Stack and tape pallets safely while observing all sanitation standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following: Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
- A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following: Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
- Material handling equipment certification, preferred
- Six months warehouse experience, preferred
- Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
- Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
