Retrofit Specialist

Job Summary
Partner with Sales to identify, develop, and secure turnkey retrofit and upgrade opportunities for rotating equipment across Eastern Canada. Lead customer-facing activities including asset reviews, health checks, site visits, and technical forums to uncover new business while serving as the primary technical resource for inquiries. Conduct technical assessments of pumps, turbines, and compressors to translate performance issues into clear scopes of work, preparing preliminary engineering calculations, hydraulic selections, and conceptual designs. Develop technically robust proposals, manage the full proposal lifecycle, and ensure accurate tracking of orders within the CRM system. Collaborate with the Service Center and engineering teams to validate feasibility, review historical data, and provide technical clarification during negotiations. Execute a 30% intermittent travel schedule to support regional strategy, sales planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, compressors, or similar)
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
- Ability to travel for work Across the Canadian and US business units
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical issues into practical solutions
- Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging directly with customers
- A proactive mindset with a passion for identifying opportunities and driving results
- Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, and Service Center teams
