Job Summary
In the role of Retreat Staff, you will greet guests, provide support throughout their stay, and prepare meeting facilities to meet guest requirements. Responsibilities include leading staff in hosting duties, performing basic housekeeping and food service tasks, facilitating activities such as archery and lifeguarding, and ensuring the safety of participants. You will assist in equipment maintenance and organization while also engaging with guests to enhance their camp experience, including collecting feedback through surveys. The position requires effective communication skills, ability to manage changing priorities, and a commitment to Christian values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
- Current certification or willingness to obtain Level 1 challenge course certification
- Current certification or willingness to obtain certifications in Lifeguarding and Waterfront Skills
- Current certification or willingness to obtain CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
- Current certification or willingness to obtain Archery Instructor Training: Level 1 Certification
- Proficient ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible
- Ability to work under minimal supervision while exercising professional judgment
- Commitment to Christian principles and teachings
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as required
