Retreat Resident Care Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate resident care services, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate communication among interdisciplinary team members. Assist nursing staff with new admissions, hospital returns, and discharges by entering orders and verifying discharge needs. Perform resident activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, and nail care while auditing CNA performance. Conduct nursing cart audits, identify documentation deficiencies, and support physician notifications for lab and x-ray orders. Manage weekend supervisor support, nursing administrative on-call rotation, and CNA shift assignments. Back up the Scheduler to coordinate missing shifts with contracted agencies and order Medicare supplies and medications. Treat residents with dignity, maintain confidentiality, and report any abuse or noncompliance immediately.
Required Qualifications
- A nursing degree from an accredited college or University or be a graduate of an approved LPN program
- Two years of experience as an LPN
- Current, unrestricted nursing license in Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledge of current standards of practice and the rules, regulations, and laws related to the long-term care industry
- Ability to teach this knowledge to others
