Retort Operator 1

Leads and operates the retort process in a plant setting, managing the electronic control system, performing equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and ensuring product specifications and safety/environmental standards are met. Responsibilities include coordinating safe plant operations, training and mentoring team members, troubleshooting equipment and rolling stock (dozer, yard dog, forklift, aerial lift, etc.), and participating in continuous improvement efforts. The role requires knowledge of SAP, MS Outlook/Word/Excel, and a drive to learn additional skills (welding, cutting, pipe threading, electrical troubleshooting). Shift is a rotating 12-hour schedule (6:30a-6:30p for 4 weeks, then 6:30p-6:30a for 4 weeks). A high school diploma or GED is required, along with strong initiative, teamwork, and effective communication. The position emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and contributing to a team-based plant culture at Clorox.
